We wanted to find out what is going on this holiday season at Studio Moonfall, so we reached out to Donovan Scherer for this exclusive Go Downtown Kenosha Magazine Q&A.
Q. Do you have any special promotions or events planned for the upcoming holiday season?
A. We’ll be bringing in guest local authors every Friday (on Free Book Friday) and doing a special Color of Kenosha Triple Pack that let’s you vote for non-profits we’ll feature in the coloring book’s 2024 edition.
Q. What are some of the most popular holiday products or services you offer?
A. The Color of Kenosha coloring books make a great gift for anyone you want to introduce to your hometown.
Q. Are there any unique holiday traditions or customs associated with your business?
A. We do Halloween through Christmas at Studio Moonfall!
Q. Can you share a memorable holiday story or experience related to your business?
A. It hasn’t happened yet, but I look forward to when someone comes to the shop to buy one of each of the books by the local authors we carry. Pretty sure it’ll happen this year.
Q. What’s is one of your favorite holiday memories? Or the best gift you’ve ever received?
A. Growing up, I spent my childhood in faraway lands but we’d come back to visit every once in a while and spend the holidays with a bunch of people who, to my understanding, are family. Now that I know them, they’re pretty great although I see them just about as often.
Q. Do you have any tips for finding the perfect holiday gift?
A. Shop at Studio Moonfall. It’s incredible.
Q. What are the best ways for customers to stay updated on your holiday hours and offerings?
A. The regular hours are listed on our website, www.StudioMoonfall.com, and kept up to date on Google and Facebook. However, for Mystery Hours, you’ll want to keep an eye on the Studio Moonfall Facebook page.
Q. What does your business have in store for 2024?
A. The new Color of Kenosha will be coming out in the spring, we’re starting the Kenosha Comic Con in February at the Wyndham Garden Hotel on the harbor, and the Kenosha Book Festival will be back starting in April.

Q. What do you love about the holiday season in downtown Kenosha?
A. Early sunset because Studio Moonfall looks GREAT from the outside at night.
Q. Inquiring minds want to know, are you on the naughty or nice list?
A. As an agent of Mr. Claus, it’s company policy to not disclose that information.
